Uploading site using Dreamweaver MX 2004

This tutorial is about uploading entire site to remote server using Dreamweaver MX 2004

1. Move your cursor to "Site" in the top menu and click "Site".

2. Click "Manage Site..."

   

3. Click "New" and then "Site"

   

4. Type any name you want, then click "Next"

5. Select "No, I don't want to use server technology"
   (If you are using PHP, please select "Yes, I wan to use server technology" and then select "PHP and MySQL"

   

6. Click "Next"

7. Select "Edit local copies on my machine, then upload to server when ready (Recommended)"

8. Select your file location.

9. Select "FTP" under "How do you connect to remote server?"

   

10. Enter the information as below:

    1. FTP address: your-domain.com

    2. Folder on the server: /your-domain.com

    3. FTP login: Please log in to your control panel and check (it is on the top left corner)

    4. FTP password: Your control panel password.

11. Click "Test Connection"

12. If success, dreamweaver will tell you the connection to your server is successful.

    

13. Click "Next"

14. Select "No, do not enable check in and check out."

15. Click "Next"

16. Re-check the information you enetered and click "Done"

17. Edit your site in Dreamwearver (if needed)

18. click the first line ("Site - your profile name") under "Files" on the left

    

19. Click the arrow pointing upward

    

20. Click "OK" and wait until the transfer is completed
